This was a excellent replacement for my old HR-20. No more B-band Converters. These B-band converters were always having to be replaced. The new HR-23 has the converters built in the receiver, so you don't have to replace them when they start giving you a bad connection. Quality of picture looks better too. Faster also. It was a Nice upgrade. -- Excellent replacement
I purchased the HR23-700 HD DVR. $20 cheaper than I could get it from Directv, but here's the good part.....its not a refurbish and its a HR-23-700 HD DVR. When you order one from Directv they will not guarantee you get this model. They may send you an HR21, HR22, or a HR23. And on top of that it may be a refurbish! Check the sticker on the back. I had a question, the seller got right back to me. Also I ordered it Sunday night, and I had it Wednesday. This is my second HR23 in 6 months (I have two), so Directv would not cut me a deal since its been less than a year since they gave me my other one for $50. I hope this seller gets the new HR24 that's due out 6/2010!! -- Perfect, Brand New, Not a Re-furb.
